What a busy couple of weeks! We've seen our swimmers well and truly be put through their paces and with Age Nationals following so closely behind Open Nationals, we've struggled to catch our breath.
The races have been swum and won, and we're extremely proud of our athletes performances.
Age Nationals produced some super impressive swims and a fantastic overall result for our F-Team. Our total for the event was 35 medals with 26 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze. The Funky Trunk guys had some great results with Jacob Vincent scoring 3 gold medals, Vincent Dai 2 gold, Sam Young with 1 gold and Zac Stubblety-Cook taking home 2 silvers. Great work guys, you all had super swims.
As a result of their gold medal swims, Jacob Vincent, Vincent Dai and Samuel Young will make their way to the Junior World Championships in Singapore later this year.
Outside of the pool. the Surf Life Saving Australian Championships were held on the Gold Coast. Funky Trunks F-Teamer, Murray Stewart finished 5th in the single ski individual event, maintaining his national ranking from last year's event and 3rd in the single ski relay team event.
With so much happening in April, you'd think it would be hard to match in May, but we've got plenty of F-Teamers in action. May is full of diving events, starting with the Australian Diving Championships in Brisbane.
Don't forget, we'll keep you updated on all the F-Team results here and on our Facebook page.
Go F-Team!!!
